DESCRIPTION
The Permabond ET5149 is a 1:1 mixable epoxy adhesive. It has excellent resistance to impact and vibration and is ideal for structural bonding of metal, wood, composites and certain plastics. Its rapid cure speed coupled with its structural strength makes this adhesive suitable for a wide variety of applications. ET5149 is high strength and has excellent environmental durability.

For metal surfaces, ensure all dust, loose scale, rust, oil, and grease are removed before bonding. Our MBS 1943 IPA Wipes are ideal for this preparation step. For maximum bond strength, we recommend abrading the metal surface prior to cleaning and applying adhesive. Polyolefins, thermoplastic polyesters, fluorocarbon plastics, and other low surface energy plastics are generally not suitable for bonding without specialised surface treatments.
