DESCRIPTION
The Kisling Ergo 1665 is a high-performance, universal-grade, two-part methyl methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals, and composite materials. Its non-sagging formulation makes it ideal for industrial applications, with a 10:1 mix ratio (by volume) and a working time of 3–6 minutes. At 23°C, it reaches 50% of its final strength within 15 to 18 minutes.
This adhesive is widely used across a range of industries, including household appliances (white goods), advertising panels, traffic guidance systems, electronics and electrical engineering, vehicle construction, furniture manufacturing, windows and doors, as well as in the bus, truck, rail, car, and marine industries.
Features
- Good adhesion to a wide range of materials
- 3–6 minute working time; 10 N/mm² strength in 8 min
- Excellent resistance against dynamic loads
- Resistant against outside conditions and humidity
- Strong and tough; ideal for small-area bonds
- Non-sag formula for vertical/overhead use
- Bridges gap up to 10 mm
- Optically visible hardening process – colour changes from blue to green

Applications
For metal surfaces, ensure all dust, loose scale, rust, oil, and grease are removed before bonding. Our MBS 1943 IPA Wipes are ideal for this preparation step. For maximum bond strength, we recommend abrading the metal surface prior to cleaning and applying adhesive. Polyolefins, thermoplastic polyesters, fluorocarbon plastics, and other low surface energy plastics are generally not suitable for bonding without specialised surface treatments.
